What is WishList Plus?
WishList Plus is a free online service that allows anyone to create product lists for any type of occasion. Users can keep their lists private, or share them with others.
Lists can be created as a registry, which will allow others to mark whether they have purchased the item(s).
Items in wishlists can link directly to products at their online stores to help the chance of getting what you want, and making it easier for family and friends to purchase.
How do you add items to a WishList?
Once you have created an account with WishList Plus and created at least one list, you can easily add items to lists by either:
Using the WishList Plus Bookmarklet to add an item while you are at the online store
Or by manually adding the item be entering the details manually
Why can't people find my WishLists?
When you first create an account with WishList Plus, a WishList is automatically created for you (you can create more). This list is created so only family and friends can see it.
To make any of your WishLists available so anyone can search and find them, modify the list settings and change the 'Can be viewed by' setting to 'Anyone'. This change can be made by clicking on the 'MODIFY LIST SETTINGS' at the bottom of the page when you are viewing a WishList.
Does WishList Plus sell products?
No. WishList Plus will only keep listings to items sold by online stores.
When you click on an item to see or purchase it, your browser is sent to the original online store and any purchases are handled by that store. WishList Plus simply keeps the list.
The products found in the Shop section are products offered and sold by Amazon.com. WishList Plus does not markup the prices in any way, and any purchases from the WishList Plus store are handed completely by Amazon.com.
Now that I have a WishList, how do I share it?
There are several ways that wishlists can be shared with others.
If your list is marked as a public list, then anyone can search WishList Plus using your name and view the items in your list.
You can send an invitation to friends and family by clicking on the "INVITE FRIENDS" or "SHARE YOUR LISTS" links. After you send the invitations, the recipients can either join WishList Plus and become "friends" with you, or they can just click on the link in the email to see your lists.
Note: If your list is marked as private, nobody except you can see the list.
Do my friends and family have to signup with WishList Plus to see my lists?
No. If your lists are "public", anyone can find and view the lists by searching for them.
Also, even if you send an invitation, the recipient can simply click on the link provided in the invitation to see your lists without having to create an account with WishList Plus.
What's the advantage of having a friend signup?
If a friend creates a WishList Plus account from an invitation email, your two accounts are linked. Once linked, you can both easily view your non-private lists as long as your are logged in.
Once your friend has their own WishList Plus account, they can easily create lists and share them back with you.
How do I change my account information or password?
Once logged in, click on the "Your Profile" link at the bottom of the page. Then click on the "Edit" tab. Login information can be set on the "Account" tab. Additional information can be set on the "Personal Information" tab.
