The best clipper out there June 1, 2009 T. Bruno (Boston) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The clippers are very comfortable and I managed to trim my baby's nails with them. The magnifying glass is a good feature. I wish those came with a little light as well so I can trim her nails at night when she is sound asleep. But none the less these are good for it.
My baby is 2 months old and this is the first time I found a product that I can manage for the job.
I give it 5 stars.
convenient nail clipper for baby May 11, 2010 C. Jen (Edison, NJ USA) Very handy and convenient when cutting baby nails. I buy 2 for my 2 babies for safety design.
best clipper hands down February 6, 2010 A. Feldsher (Columbia, MD) I purchased these clippers when my first son was born and have used them for 4 years. The other reviewer is right - the magnifying glass isn't really any help. BUT, despite this, these clippers are FAR better than any others. They're worth the price without the magnifying glass. They're very easy to handle - feel natural in your hand - and sharp enough to cut nails yet designed so you can easily avoid cutting little fingers. I lost the pair I had and recently ordered the Safety 1st clippers which are horrible (difficult to handle, dull, stiff and don't clamp down easily). You'll be very happy with these clippers if you buy them.
Good clippers February 24, 2010 A. Tebow (Long Beach, CA United States) We received these clippers as a gift and they have been really wonderful. The handle is comfortable and I feel I have a better grip when clipping my son's nails. I wish they made grown-up nail clippers with this kind of handle.
They lose a star because the magnifying glass is useless, the baby has to be perfectly still for it to be of any use.
Had difficulty using even w/ magnifying glass. October 23, 2009 A. Fryar (Los Angeles, CA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
THE GOOD:
*Works well for babies 2 months and older - Currently works really well at clipping my baby's nails (9 wk old baby).
THE BAD:
*Magnifying glass is irrelevant - I was really looking forward to this product because of the magnifying glass feature but surprisingly it didn't help that much in cutting my 6wk old baby's very small and thin nails (at the time).
*Not for newborns - IMO, This nail clipper is best to use after 2 months of age.
*Suggestion for change in product design - Not sure if it's possible for the makers to do this... but, I think making it so the cutting blades set position is much closer together would be a good idea. It will reduce the time and effort spent trying to target the nail.. also make it easier to use on newborns.
OVERALL:
*I should have stuck with the baby clippers I got (part of a grooming set) as a gift which is virtually identical to this product minus the magnifying glass but it works which is why it gets 3 stars! :)
