Middle layer is 100% soft and breathable polyester for absorbency. The bottom layer is wayerproof and breathable polyester to protect mattress from soil. Great quality at reasonable price! Its more expensive but when I received the item I completely understand why. Love it so much I bought 2 more. Not only its organic, it is plainly superior in design, construction, and durability. I will not get any other kinds of pads. This is the one to get and certainly worth the investment.

I love this organic quilted pad. It's so soft and fits really well on my organic cotton mattress. My daughter likes to sleep on my bed so this pad makes her crib feel softer (closer to what my bed feels). I like that it has just the right amount of padding, not too thick that I have to worry when my daughter rolls over and sleeps on her tummy.

I bought this pad to go onto a crib mattress for my 2 year olds toddler bed. What a difference it makes! It is so soft and feels wonderful under the fitted sheet. It is well made and washes nicely. I'm very happy with this cover and will be purchasing another for our baby that is due this April (2010).

I was concerned about my original pad that I purchased when you do the massive buy everything at Babies R Us when you have your first. Over time, it just seemed so flimsy and gross after so many washings. But THIS IS AWESOME- well worth the money. I have some very plush sheets (like those uber soft travel pillows) that I got from One Step Ahead (get them they're awesome too)... and now with this cover, the bed is super soft and really I think just what I wanted. Great buy- worth the money.
